  • OCADU Cinema Club @ocadu.cinema: The Cinema Club has several screenings planned throughout October and November. Next up is What’s Up, Doc?, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, screening on October 5, doors at 6:30 p.m., screening at 7 p.m., Room 230. See more on their socials!
  • RenderED @rendered_ocadu: Faculty of Design Book Sale on October 7 in the main lobby. Proceeds support the Environmental Design program!
  • Trans Artists Collective @trans.artists.collective: Trans Life Drawing: October 7, 4–6 p.m., 113 McCaul, Room 412. Open to trans, nonbinary, queer artists, and allies, this session will feature all-trans models. Bring your own materials!
  • Creative Coding Club @creativecodingclub.ocadu: Livecoding Lab every Friday, 6:30–8 p.m., MCD 200 (Rosalie Sharp Pavilion). Creative Coding Club & Friends – Live at Butterfield Park: October 21, 7–10 p.m.

Resources

  • Health & Dental Plan: OCAD U students registered in at least 1.5 credits in both the Fall and Winter Terms are automatically enrolled in the health and dental plan through Alumo (formerly Studentcare). Coverage can be changed during the first month of classes, including opting in/out or adding dependents.
  • Student Wellness Centre @ocadustudentwellbeing: Offers short-term support through single-session counselling appointments, available both virtually and in person.
  • OCAD U Portfolio Building Events: Hands-on weekend workshops and online sessions designed for learners ages 15–19. Workshops focus on developing portfolio-ready work with guidance from OCAD U faculty. In-person workshops take place at 100 McCaul Street on October 17, November 21, December 5, 2026, and January 16, 2027.
