The OCADU Talent Network is a platform exclusive to current OCAD U students and alumni. Search for jobs in art and design, connect with employers, and gain professional experience in your creative field. Visit www.ocadu.ca/talentnetwork to get started. 

The RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) has a meetup space at 115 McCaul  St, 3rd floor, open Mon-Fri from 10am – 4pm. They also offer events throughout the year and career advising both in-person and remotely. Log onto the Talent Network to book an online appointment, or check them out through their website or linktr.ee/ocadu_cead 

The Student Wellness Centre offers the Student Living Room in 230 Richmond St, 8th floor, open Mon-Fri from 10am – 7pm. They offer drop-in activities every day:

  • Monday, 4pm – 6pm. Community Tapestry
  • Tuesday, 4pm – 6pm. Song Recs
  • Wednesday 1pm – 2pm. Pizza & Co Design
  • Wednesday 4pm – 6pm. Crafts & Chill
  • Thursday 4pm – 6pm. Scrapbooking
  • Friday 2pm -6pm. Self Love – Phone Charms Workshop

OCAD U LiVE features a content creator studio, where students are paid to learn how to create their own shows, and a production house, where their experienced students create videos for real clients. The Student Pantry, provided by the Student Union, is located in 100 McCaul, room 271, and outside the OCAD Student Union office at 230 Richmond St W, room 620. The Student Pantry provides students with a range of fresh and non-perishable food options, premade meals and grab-and-go-snacks, as well as personal care, menstrual hygiene, and sexual health products.   • October 11th, 18th, 25th: Morning Life Drawing. Join Alumni Relations for a morning of life drawing on campus. Sessions open to OCAD U alums, students, faculty and staff at a cost of $15/person.
  • October 1st: Art & Design Graduate School Fair Expert Panels. Hear directly from university representatives and learn more about the graduate school admission process!
  • October 2nd: Art & Design Graduate School Fair. Meet with representatives from top art & design universities, including OCAD, to learn more about MFA, MDes, MA, and PhD programs throughout Canada or internationally.
  • October 8th: Finding Funding for your Business. OCAD U’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) invites you to join multidisciplinary entrepreneur, financial strategist, and founder of StoryBee, Mario Xu in an interactive workshop on how to find funding for your business.
  • October 16th: Beyond the Gallery: Public Art as Professional Practice. Beyond the Gallery is a unique opportunity provided to students by OCAD U’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers. Through a guest panel discussion and public art site visit, this event will highlight and demystify potential future career paths for Fine Art students.
  • October 29th: Solutions Cafe. Share your ideas and provide feedback on ways the University can work to solve its structural deficit. Register here: https://linktr.ee/myocadu
